Organogram & Management Board of ORCD

Dr NasratQudratullah Nasrat, MD, MPH, is a Fulbright Scholar, physician, and global health leader with a Master's degree in International Public Health. Being Einstein visa holder, he has also been approved as a public health professional under Canada's Skilled Worker Program.
With more than 16 years of experience, Dr. Nasrat has led health, humanitarian, and development initiatives at national and international levels. At ORCD, he led the development of over 100 successful project proposals and guided the organization to become the first Afghan civil society organization to obtain United Nations ECOSOC Special Consultative Status in 2015.
Dr. Nasrat has held senior executive and advisory roles with national and international organizations and is recognized for advancing transparency, accountability, and good governance. In 2022, he became the first Afghan recipient of Vital Voices' Male Allies in the Fight for Gender Equality Award.
He also played a leading role in humanitarian coordination in Afghanistan, serving as Co-Chair of the WHO-led Afghanistan Health Cluster, twice representing Afghan civil societies in the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT), and serving on the CSO Steering Committee.
Dr. Nasrat graduated top of his class from Medical School in Afghanistan and has since contributed extensively to health systems development, humanitarian response, organizational leadership, and public health programming.
